Montreal ChapterThe Montreal Chapter is a crossroads where aviation veterans and aviation enthusiasts can meet.

Many of our members are involved in researching and writing history or had a front row seat to it. Others have no aviation background but want to know more about aviation, its history and its impact on Québec and Canada. Everyone is welcome – visitors and guests included!

Montreal has been one of the main centers of the Canadian aviation industry for years, and our chapter is ideally located to participate in and record this history. Every month we feature a keynote speaker and because we follow a mid-day format (1100-1300 hours), we now include a small lunch: sandwiches, veggies, cookies, coffee and bottled water.

Come and be a part of our community!

  • Upcoming Meeting Information - CAHS Montreal Chapter Meeting

Aviation historian, writer and blogeur Diana Trafford will be featured as guest speaker at the October 19th meeting of the Montreal Chapter of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society.  The subject of her illustrated presentation will be the story of the Rambler III CF-ABZ which John Webster took to England for the King’s Cup race in 1931.  Diana is the niece of two pioneer bush pilots, Howard and Bruce Watt. Bruce flew and crashed CF-ABZ, so we anticipate learning some Watt family history also.

Meeting starts promptly at 11:00 AM at the Pointe Claire Legion Hall, at 365 St-Louis.  Light lunch is provided, for which a $5.00 voluntary landing fee is requested. Anyone interested in the history of civil or military aviation is welcome.  For further information call Ron at 450-463-1998.
