Vancouver Airport's Turning 80!
The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is celebrating 80 years of operations this summer! Come find out more about the festivities July 22-23 and see photos of the terminal and aircraft from the past and present.
80 Years: Come Celebrate!
From a single runway and small, wood frame building to a world-class airport that last year served 16.8 million passengers and employed 23,600 people, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has come a long way over the past 80 years.
In recognition of our 80th anniversary on July 22, 2011, Vancouver Airport Authority is inviting our community to come celebrate at their airport with a free open house on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
